EAC Fund in EssentaTor and UAB Digital Finance Cooperation
The proposed EAC Fund has entered a new institutional discussion following a memorandum of understanding between EssentaTor Inc. and the Union of Arab Banks (UAB).
Signed in Beirut, the memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation around knowledge exchange, responsible financial innovation, stablecoins, digital payments and asset tokenization. It also identifies cross-border financial connectivity, financial inclusion, governance and risk management as important areas for dialogue.
What Is the EAC Fund?
The EAC Fund is the proposed EssentaTor Arab Capital Strategic Liquidity Fund. Its framework is designed around four connected areas: institutional capital custody and liquidity, joint stablecoin reserves and issuance, AI-powered account infrastructure, and collaborative investment in finance, technology and industrial development.
The proposed structure reflects EssentaTor’s view that stablecoin finance requires more than a token or payment application. Institutional adoption also depends on reserve assets, settlement arrangements, custody, liquidity and risk controls.
Why UAB Is Relevant
The Union of Arab Banks represents a broad network of banks and financial institutions across the Arab region. Its participation brings the priorities of the banking sector into a discussion that can otherwise become overly focused on technology.
Under the memorandum, the parties intend to exchange knowledge and continue institutional dialogue around how digital-finance innovation may support the needs of Arab banks. The agreement also includes an initial discussion of investment solutions and liquidity mechanisms connected with the proposed EAC Fund.
The EssentaTor–UAB memorandum does not mean that a single stablecoin model will be adopted across different countries. Banking regulation, market structure and institutional requirements vary by jurisdiction. The cooperation is better understood as a channel for research and discussion.
Connecting Stablecoins With Institutional Liquidity
Liquidity is one of the central issues in any financial system. In a stablecoin framework, it becomes closely connected with the quality and management of reserves, the ability to settle transactions and the confidence of participating institutions.
By including the EAC Fund in the dialogue, EssentaTor and UAB are bringing investment structures and liquidity mechanisms into the wider stablecoin conversation. This may help banks examine the relationship between digital payments and the balance-sheet, custody and risk-management functions that sit behind them.
A Step Toward More Structured Discussion
Stablecoins are moving into a phase where institutional design matters as much as technical performance. Banks need clarity on governance, controls, reserves and cross-border responsibilities before new systems can become part of mainstream financial activity.
The memorandum creates a basis for that discussion. For EssentaTor, it provides an opportunity to connect the EAC Fund and its stablecoin infrastructure work with the needs of Arab financial institutions. For UAB, it offers another avenue for examining how responsible innovation can support a more connected and inclusive financial system.
