For those who don’t know, Saul Goodman, real name Jimmy McGill, is an unorthodox, not to say shady, lawyer. First appearing in the series Breaking Bad, then in his own spin-off ‘Better Call Saul’, he is known for his dubious sense of humour, his taste for kitsch costumes and his penchant for manipulation. He is a true chameleon, able to blend into any environment and adopt the identity that suits him best. Despite his dubious nature, Saul Goodman is an endearing character. His quirky sense of humour, his intelligence and his ability to get out of complicated situations make him a fascinating anti-hero.
After 6 seasons of Better Call Saul, the last of which was released in 2022, Bob Odenkirk, the actor behind the famous character of Saul Goodman, has moved on to make films.
The most notable of these was Nobody, an action film released in 2021, in which the actor revealed other facets of his abilities, namely acting in action films. Given the buzz generated by the film, director Timo Tjahjanto has decided to repeat the experience for a second instalment. The Hollywood Reporter recently reported that star Sharon Stone has joined the cast of this sequel to star Bob Odenkrik, who has already been announced to reprise his role as a seemingly insignificant family man and former government killer. The film is scheduled for release in summer 2025.
